Product identity

The Hanwha Techwin XND-8082RF is a 6MP flush-mount network dome camera with a motorised 2.8–8.4mm varifocal lens and 3x optical zoom. It captures up to 3328x1872 resolution at 30fps using H.265 or H.264 compression and includes dual microSD slots supporting up to 1TB total storage.

Who it suits

Installers needing remote zoom and focus adjustment for flexible viewing angles from 114° down to 40.2° horizontal will benefit from the motorised lens. Buyers who require a camera without IR illumination or who need a fixed-focal lens should consider other models.

Installation notes

The camera accepts PoE (IEEE802.3af) or 12VDC power with automatic failover between sources. A metal-shielded RJ-45 port handles 10/100/1000BASE-T connectivity. Pan, tilt and rotate ranges of 0–360°, -45–85° and 0–355° allow precise positioning, though the flush-mount design requires suitable ceiling access.

Questions about this item

Does the XND-8082RF need a separate power supply, or can it run from a PoE switch?

It supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and 12 VDC; a PoE switch delivering up to 12.95 W is sufficient, no extra injector required.

Will the motorised 2.8–8.4 mm lens cover the same view as my older fixed 4 mm dome?

At the wide end the horizontal field is 114°, much wider than a typical 4 mm lens; zoom to 8.4 mm narrows it to 40.2° for tighter detail.

How can I confirm the camera is recording at the full 3328×1872 resolution after installation?

Log into the web interface or VMS and verify the stream is set to 3328×1872 at 30 fps (H.265/H.264) with the IR LEDs active in low light.
