Dual-display enabler

This Hetai Tech adapter converts a 24+1 pin DVI-D male output into a 15 pin VGA female port. It lets a graphics card with both DVI-D and VGA outputs drive two VGA monitors simultaneously. The passive design requires no external power and works with standard analogue VGA cables.

Analogue-only limitation

The adapter passes only the analogue pins present on a DVI-D connector, so it cannot transmit a digital DVI signal to a VGA display. It will not function with a purely digital DVI-D source that lacks analogue output pins. No active conversion or signal scaling is performed by the unit.

Legacy monitor support

The 15 pin VGA female socket accepts any standard VGA cable, making it suitable for older CRT or LCD monitors that lack digital inputs. It cannot add digital capability to an analogue-only display, nor can it bridge a fully digital DVI-D port to VGA without analogue pins present.
