Helium enterprise hard drive

The Hitachi Ultrastar He6 is a 3.5-inch helium-sealed hard drive built for enterprise workloads. It spins at 7200 rpm and provides a 64 MB buffer to support sustained data throughput. The helium platform reduces internal turbulence and power draw compared with conventional air-filled drives. Factory-sealed units carry a five-year manufacturer warranty.

Buyers needing high-capacity helium storage

This drive suits storage arrays and servers that require helium-sealed reliability at 7200 rpm. It is not for systems that lack 3.5-inch drive bays or the necessary controller support. Buyers who need a different capacity or interface should consider other models.
