Splits one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot into four x4 channels for NVMe SSDs or add-in cards with 20 mm spacing and SATA auxiliary power
This add-on card splits a single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot into four independent x4 channels. It requires motherboard BIOS support for x4x4x4x4 bifurcation mode. The board uses gold-plated contacts and Foxconn connectors for signal stability. It targets workstation and AI builds needing dense PCIe device expansion.
Builders installing multiple NVMe SSDs, single-slot GPUs, or network cards benefit from the 20mm spacing that aids airflow. The design supports up to four low-power devices simultaneously. Buyers whose motherboards lack bifurcation support cannot use this card. Systems needing x8 or x16 electrical links per device should look elsewhere.
Each channel delivers PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth, verified at roughly 3570 MB/s read and 2685 MB/s write with Samsung PM9A1 SSDs. The board draws auxiliary power through two SATA 15-pin inputs, each rated for about 36W. The four slots share a maximum of 75W total. One low-power card may run on bus power alone, but 12 SATA connections are recommended for two or more devices.

The motherboard BIOS must allow the x16 slot to be configured in x4x4x4x4 bifurcation mode; without that setting the card will not present four independent x4 channels.
Older PCIe 2.0 drives will function but are limited to their native 2.0 transfer rates; the card itself passes PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth to each port.
In the OS device manager or with lspci, confirm every port reports a x4 link width and 3.0 speed, and run a benchmark such as CrystalDiskMark to see sequential reads near 3570 MB/s and writes near 2685 MB/s on each drive.
