Portable CD Player with Four Speakers

The HOTT C228 is a compact CD player aimed at listeners who want physical media playback without separate speakers. It suits language learners and musicians needing A-B repeat for practice, and drivers wanting wireless audio through a car radio. It is not for buyers who need DVD or VCD playback, or those who require automatic Bluetooth pairing.

Bluetooth 5.3 and FM Transmitter Options

This model uses Bluetooth 5.3 to send CD audio to wireless headphones or speakers, though pairing is manual and not automatic. An FM transmitter offers five fixed channels for broadcasting to a car stereo, but it cannot operate at the same time as Bluetooth. A 3.5 mm AUX cable is also included for direct wired connections to external audio systems.

Push-Button Operation and Rechargeable Battery

The unit runs on a built-in 1800 mAh lithium-polymer battery charged via USB Type-C, removing the need for disposable cells. Playback controls are handled by push buttons rather than a touchscreen. Anti-skip protection helps during travel, though the maker advises against use while running. The package includes a Type-C cable, a 3.5 mm audio cable, and wired earphones.

Questions about this item

How loud are the four built-in speakers when I play a CD at full volume?

The four speakers are rated at 8 decibels per watt each, giving a combined output suitable for personal listening in a quiet room or car cabin.

What does Bluetooth 5.3 actually let me do with this player?

Bluetooth 5.3 streams CD audio to wireless headphones or speakers with lower latency and a more stable link; pairing is manual and the FM transmitter cannot be active at the same time.

Will the player fit in a standard car cup holder or dashboard slot?

The unit measures 14.2 cm square by 3.12 cm thick and weighs 0.431 kg, so it sits securely in most cup holders and shallow dashboard trays.
