Retro CD Boombox with Dual Playback

The Memorex MX-BCD100 is a portable stereo system that combines a top-loading CD player with a built-in cassette deck. It supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 formats alongside AM/FM radio reception. A telescopic antenna and red LED display complete the feature set for straightforward operation.

Ideal for CD and Tape Collectors

This unit suits listeners who want to play both compact discs and cassettes on a single mains-powered device with a carry handle. Buyers needing Bluetooth streaming, a rechargeable battery or a line-level output for external amplification should consider other models that provide those connections.

3.5 mm Auxiliary Input for External Sources

The only wired connection for outside devices is a 3.5 mm auxiliary input jack, allowing smartphones, MP3 players or tablets to play through the two built-in speakers. No headphone socket, USB port or digital audio output is present on this model.

Questions about this item

What does the 3.5 mm auxiliary input let me connect to the MX-BCD100?

You can plug in smartphones, MP3 players, tablets or any device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack to play audio through the built-in speakers.

How much space does the player need on a shelf or table?

The unit measures 13.4874 cm wide, 23.6982 cm deep and 26.289 cm high, so allow at least that footprint plus room for the top-loading lid to open and the handle to fold.

How do I power the MX-BCD100 for portable use, and what is the step people often miss?

Insert six C batteries into the compartment on the bottom, making sure the polarity matches the diagram inside; the player will not run on batteries if the AC adapter is still plugged in.
