Everyday laptop for work and home

The HP 15.6 inch notebook pairs a 15.6" FHD anti-glare display with an AMD Ryzen 3 3250U processor and 12GB memory for daily multitasking. A 128GB SSD stores the operating system and essential files. Windows 10 Home in S mode runs familiar apps from the Microsoft Store. The silver chassis uses a 6.5 mm micro-edge bezel to maximise screen space.

Thermals and power in normal use

The AMD Ryzen 3 3250U operates at a 2.6 GHz base clock and can reach a 3.5 GHz max boost clock during typical workloads. Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics share system memory for video playback and light creative tasks. The fanless SSD produces no mechanical noise. Power draw scales with processor load to support long battery life on a single charge.

What the bundled software changes

Windows 10 Home in S mode restricts installation to Microsoft Store applications for added security. Users can switch out of S mode at no cost to run traditional desktop programs. The 128GB SSD capacity limits the number of large programs or media libraries stored locally. No discrete graphics card is included, so modern 3D titles will not run well.

Questions about this item

How is the 128GB SSD installed and which step is often missed?

The 128GB SSD comes factory-fitted; the step users miss is completing Windows 10 in S mode setup and switching out of S mode before installing third-party apps.

What maintenance will the 12GB memory and AMD Radeon Graphics need later?

No user-serviceable memory slots exist; keep vents clear for the Radeon Graphics cooling and run Windows Update for driver refreshes.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the Ryzen 3 3250U?

The 2.6 GHz base clock drops toward 3.5 GHz boost limits under prolonged work, so thermals throttle sustained performance first.
