HP 15.6" Full HD Laptop

This 15.6-inch notebook delivers a 1920 x 1080 display powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. It includes 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB solid-state drive for everyday responsiveness. Windows 11 comes pre-installed for immediate use. The slim chassis suits home and personal tasks.

Thermals noise and power

The thin design relies on standard mobile cooling to manage the i5-1135G7 processor during typical workloads. Fan activity remains audible but restrained during web browsing, document editing or video playback. Power draw stays within the limits of the supplied adapter for normal daily use. Heavy sustained loads will raise temperatures and fan speed accordingly.

Storage capacity decides fit

The 256GB drive holds the operating system and a modest selection of applications and files. Buyers who want more storage for large media libraries or multiple virtual machines should consider external or cloud options. The fixed 8GB DDR4 memory cannot be expanded for heavier multitasking needs. This configuration matches light productivity and streaming requirements.

Questions about this item

How do I install a second drive in the 256GB SSD slot and what step is often missed?

The laptop has one M.2 slot occupied by the 256GB drive; adding a second drive requires a 2.5-inch bay and caddy, and the step most people miss is securing the ribbon cable before closing the case.

Which component will need replacement first — the 8GB DDR4 memory or the battery — and when?

The 8GB DDR4 is soldered and cannot be upgraded; the battery is the only user-replaceable part and typically needs replacement after 2–3 years of daily charge cycles.

What thermal limit appears first on the i5-1135G7 during a long render — CPU throttle or fan noise?

The 11th Gen Core i5-1135G7 hits its 15 W sustained-power limit first, causing clock speeds to drop before the fan reaches maximum RPM.
