HP 544660-001 2250 W Power Supply

This HP power supply delivers 2250 W at 48 V DC for the C7000 enclosure. It is built for data-centre operators who need redundant, hot-pluggable power in a blade chassis. The unit slides into the enclosure without tools and can be replaced while the system remains online. It suits administrators who manage HP BladeSystem c7000 infrastructure and require a direct replacement part.

2250 W 48 V DC hot-plug specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 2250 W 48 V DC hot-plug rating matched to the C7000 enclosure. Buyers who need a different wattage, voltage or form factor cannot use this module. It will not work in enclosures that require AC input or a lower DC output. Compatibility is limited to the HP C7000 platform as stated.

Questions about this item

How much usable power does the 2250 W rating deliver inside a C7000 enclosure?

The unit supplies up to 2250 watts at 48 V DC to the C7000 backplane, so blade servers and interconnects draw directly from that capacity.

What does the hot-plug 48 V DC interface allow during operation?

You can insert or remove the supply while the C7000 enclosure stays powered, because the 48 V DC connection mates and breaks under load without shutting down the chassis.
