Genuine HP 45W USB-C charger
This genuine HP 45W USB-C AC adapter powers compatible HP ProBook and Spectre laptops through a USB Type-C connector. It accepts a universal 100-240V input at 50 or 60Hz, making it suitable for worldwide travel use. The 3.3 ft cable connects the compact adapter body to the laptop. Built-in overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection safeguards the connected device.
45W multi-voltage output headroom
The adapter delivers up to 45W across four fixed voltage steps: 5V at 3A, 9V at 3A, 15V at 3A and 20V at 2.25A. It comfortably handles charging and operation for thin-and-light HP laptops designed for this power level. It runs out of headroom for larger workstations or gaming models that demand higher wattage or additional voltage rails beyond the four provided steps.
USB Power Delivery negotiation limits
USB Power Delivery negotiation restricts output to the four advertised profiles, so the adapter cannot supply intermediate voltages or currents outside those steps. The USB Type-C male connector fits only devices that accept charging through a USB-C port. The AC mains cable is not included, so a separate C5 or C7 lead matching the local wall socket is required for operation.
