The MTDZKJG MT-120205 is a 12V 2.5A switching power supply rated at 30W maximum output. It accepts AC 100-240V input at 50/60Hz and delivers DC 12V through a 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel connector that also fits 2.1mm inner diameter plugs. Polarity is centre positive. The unit includes a blue indicator light and a 95cm cord built with 20AWG copper conductors in a flame-retardant PVC jacket. It carries FCC, CE, RoHS and CCC certification with overcurrent, overvoltage, overload and short-circuit protection.
Check your device before ordering
Verify that your equipment requires exactly 12V DC and draws no more than 2.5A. Confirm the barrel jack on your device accepts a 5.5mm outer diameter and either 2.5mm or 2.1mm inner diameter with centre-positive polarity. The adapter is designed for indoor use with CCTV cameras, DVR, NVR, HVR recorders, LED strip lights, small fountain pumps and similar low-power 12V loads. Do not connect if your device needs a different voltage, higher current or reverse polarity.
Replacing an undersized or failed supply
This adapter replaces any 12V wall transformer rated up to 30W with a compatible barrel connector. It is a direct swap for 12V units rated at 0.1A through 2.5A such as 500mA, 1A, 1.5A, 2A or 2.5A models. The jump is worth it when the original supply has failed, runs hot or cannot deliver enough current for the connected load. It is not suitable for devices requiring 15V output, currents above 2.5A or power levels above 30W such as 36W, 42W, 45W or 48W units.
