HP Aruba 8400X JL366A 6-port 40/100GbE QSFP28 Advanced Module

SKU CH-8WM9-PR770

Expansion module adding six QSFP28 ports for 40GbE and 100GbE connectivity to Aruba 8400X switches

  • Six 40/100 GbE ports scale bandwidth
  • QSFP28 slots accept high-density optics
  • Designed for Aruba 8400X switch series
  • Optical fibre media support long links
  • Expansion module adds capacity without new chassis

Purpose-built expansion for Aruba 8400X

This module adds six QSFP28 ports to the Aruba 8400X switch series, delivering 40GbE or 100GbE connectivity per port. It targets network engineers expanding core or aggregation layers in campus and data-centre fabrics.

Upgrade path from lower-speed line cards

The part replaces older 10GbE or 40GbE line cards when traffic growth demands 100GbE density across six slots. The jump is justified when existing uplink utilisation consistently saturates available bandwidth and the chassis has free module bays.

Verify chassis slot availability and optic budget

Confirm the 8400X chassis has an open module slot and that the power budget supports the additional line card. Match each QSFP28 port with compatible optical transceivers and fibre patch cords rated for the intended reach.
