Adds three PCIe slots — x16, x8 and x8 — plus an M.2 connector to compatible DL380 Gen10 servers
This riser kit is designed for HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers including Base, Entry, High Performance and Performance models. It adds three expansion slots to the chassis for additional I/O cards. System builders expanding server connectivity use this part.
The kit provides one PCI Express x16 slot and two PCI Express x8 slots plus an M.2 position. This layout lets administrators install GPUs, network adapters or storage controllers in a single assembly. The mixed widths determine which cards fit each position.
The riser mounts into the server chassis using the standard mounting points for the DL380 Gen10 family. Installers must match each card to the correct x16 or x8 slot to avoid mechanical interference. Misaligned cards are the most common cause of failed POST.

The riser kit provides an M.2 connector; drive replacement depends on the M.2 module you install and its own service life.
The kit offers one PCI Express x16 and two PCI Express x8 slots; the x8 lanes will reach bandwidth limits before the x16 slot.
The riser card itself is a passive board; thermal load comes from the PCIe cards and M.2 module you populate in its three slots.
