HP EliteBook 840 G3 14-inch HD laptop

This HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0-inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6500U dual-core processor at 2.50 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.10 GHz. It runs Windows 10 Home 64-bit on 8GB DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD.

Suits mobile workers needing legacy OS support

Professionals who rely on Windows 10 Home 64-bit for specific applications will find this configuration ready to deploy. Buyers who want more storage or a touchscreen display should look at alternatives because the screen is non-touch and the drive bay holds a single SATA device.

1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD decides fit

The 1TB SSD uses a 2.5-inch SATA form factor, so the laptop accepts only drives with that physical and electrical interface. Verify your caddy and connector match before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the EliteBook 840 G3 include the power adapter or must I buy it separately?

The laptop ships with the AC power adapter and Windows 10 Home 64-bit already installed, so no extra purchase is required to start working.

Should I choose the 8 GB DDR3 configuration or upgrade to the 32 GB maximum supported?

The 8 GB DDR3 fitted is enough for everyday office tasks; the two memory slots allow a later upgrade to 32 GB if heavier multitasking becomes necessary.

What does the 2.50 GHz base and 3.10 GHz turbo of the Core i7-6500U mean for real workloads?

The dual-core processor runs at 2.50 GHz for steady loads and can boost to 3.10 GHz for short bursts, giving responsive performance in typical business applications.
