EliteBook 845 G10 for business users

The HP EliteBook 845 G10 is a 14.0-inch laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 7540U processor with six cores and a 3.2 GHz base clock. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 8GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. Integrated AMD Radeon 740M graphics handle the 1920 x 1080 FHD LED display. The silver chassis carries a Grade B cosmetic rating, meaning visible scratches or surface wear are present.

Connectivity and included items

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports with USB Type-C at 40Gbps and two USB Type-A ports at 5Gbps provide high-speed peripheral and display connections. An HDMI port, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 cover external monitors and wireless needs. A 720p webcam supports video calls. The box contains the laptop, a charger and the battery; no optical drive is fitted.

Suited to mobile professionals.

This configuration suits professionals who need a portable Windows 11 Pro machine with ample solid-state storage and modern I/O for office applications and cloud workflows. Buyers who want a pristine cosmetic appearance should look elsewhere, as the Grade B rating guarantees visible blemishes. Users requiring discrete graphics performance for 3D rendering or gaming will find the integrated Radeon 740M insufficient. Those needing more than 8GB of system memory for large datasets or virtualisation should consider a higher-capacity model.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB DDR5 memory need to be upgraded for heavier multitasking later?

The laptop ships with 8 GB of DDR5 soldered to the board, so it cannot be expanded; if workloads grow beyond that capacity a replacement unit would be required.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 5 7540U runs at full load for long periods?

The 6-core processor shares its cooling with the integrated Radeon 740M graphics, so sustained turbo clocks will throttle once the chassis hits its thermal ceiling.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the base become during an all-day work session?

Under continuous load the single fan spins up to an audible level and the aluminium deck near the hinge grows warm, though surface temperatures stay within typical business-laptop limits.
