Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Field workers needing MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certified durability for harsh environments will value this design. Buyers who want more storage, higher resolution screens or faster multi-core processing for modern applications should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification: 13.1" 1024 x 768 XGA

The 13.1-inch display uses a 1024 x 768 XGA resolution with touch and digitizer pen support. This specific screen size and resolution defines the usable workspace and software compatibility. Verify that your applications and mounting hardware match this panel before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the CF-31 get when the Intel Core i5 2.5GHz runs continuously all day?

The CF-31 is built to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards, so its sealed chassis handles sustained loads without active fan noise in typical office use; heat dissipates through the magnesium alloy frame.

What must I already own to use the Verizon 4G LTE module on this Toughbook CF-31?

You need an active Verizon data plan and a compatible nano-SIM card; the WWAN radio is factory-installed and works immediately once the SIM is provisioned.

Will my existing DDR3 800 memory modules work alongside the 2 GB x 2 configuration already installed?

Yes, the system uses DDR3 800 SODIMMs; you can add matching modules up to the board limit, but the factory 4 GB occupies both slots, so an upgrade requires replacing them.
