Business-grade 16-inch laptop

The HP EliteBook 865 G10 is a new business laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U eight-core processor with 16 MB of L3 cache. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB NVMe PCIe solid-state drive. The 16.0-inch WUXGA display offers a 1920 x 1200 resolution without touch input. Integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics use shared system memory and the system runs Windows 11 Pro.

Thunderbolt 4 and USB limits

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports provide up to 40 Gbps each for displays, docks or external storage. Two USB Type-A ports operate at 5 Gbps. A single HDMI output and Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.2 handle additional connectivity. The integrated Radeon 780M relies on shared memory, so sustained 3D workloads will be constrained by thermal headroom and the unified memory pool rather than dedicated video RAM.

Ready-to-run Windows 11 Pro setup

The laptop arrives with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and a charger included so it boots straight to the desktop. Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or shiny key surfaces are present but no structural damage. Buyers who want a pristine chassis or a larger screen should look elsewhere. No optical drive is fitted and the battery is installed.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 32 GB DDR5 model or look for a different capacity?

This unit ships with 32 GB of DDR5 already installed, so no capacity choice is needed at purchase.

What does the Ryzen 7 7840U 8-core processor actually deliver in daily work?

Eight cores and 16 threads at up to 3.3 GHz handle multi-tasking, video calls and large spreadsheets without slowing the system.

What can the two Thunderbolt 4 ports really do at 40 Gbps?

They drive two external displays, move data to NVMe drives at full PCIe speed and charge the laptop through a single cable.
