Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 865 G10 combines an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U processor with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe drive. A 16.0-inch WUXGA display at 1920 x 1200 resolution provides ample workspace for documents and video calls. Integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics handle everyday visual tasks without a discrete card. Thunderbolt 4 ports and Wi-Fi 6E keep peripherals and networks fast.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 8-core CPU maintains 3.3 GHz base clocks across all threads during long compile jobs or spreadsheet recalculations. Shared system memory feeds the Radeon 780M, so graphics-intensive windows stay responsive when RAM pressure rises. Thermal design keeps surface temperatures comfortable during multi-hour sessions. Fan noise remains at office-friendly levels under continuous load.

Installation notes and common issues

Windows 11 Pro arrives pre-activated; first boot completes in minutes with guided setup. Thunderbolt 4 docks connect through either USB-C port at 40Gbps without driver hunting. Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or shiny keycaps are normal and do not affect function. Buyers needing a pristine chassis or a touchscreen should consider other options.
