Questions about this item

Which MSM720 controller capacity should I choose?

The MSM720 model is a single controller unit; capacity scales by adding compatible HP MSM access points rather than selecting a different controller version.

What does the 720 model number mean for real-world throughput?

The 720 designation identifies this Premium Mobility Controller; actual throughput depends on the connected 802.11n access points and the 10/100/1000 wired links.

What do the RJ-45 ports cap at in practice?

The four autosensing and two dual-personality RJ-45 ports each negotiate up to 1000 Mbps, while the serial console port is for management only.
