A 3.5-inch 6G SAS hard drive with tray for EVA P6000 storage systems
The HP M6612 is a 3.5-inch midline hard drive offering 3Tb of storage at 7200Rpm with a 6G SAS dual-port interface. It is supplied with a tray for direct installation into HP EVA P6000 storage arrays. This new drive suits administrators expanding capacity in compatible enterprise systems.
The bundled tray allows the drive to seat correctly in HP EVA P6000 enclosures without extra hardware. Buyers using different chassis or requiring hot-plug carriers for other platforms will need separate mounting kits. No additional software or cables are included with this module.

Replace the midline SAS drive when SMART alerts report reallocated sectors or when the Eva P6000 management console flags a predictive failure.
The 6Gb/s SAS interface saturates before the 7200Rpm platters, capping sustained throughput at the link rate.
