The server is a 1U rack unit; rails and a compatible rack cabinet are not included and must be supplied by the buyer.

Can the B140i controller manage the existing 2.5" SATA drives together with older 3.5" SATA disks I might add?

The B140i supports SATA RAID 0, 1, 5 across the 8 SFF bays; 3.5" drives will not fit the 2.5" trays supplied with the unit.
