Thin client for virtual desktops

The HP MT21 is a 14-inch thin client notebook built for Windows 10 Pro environments that rely on server-hosted applications. It combines an Intel Celeron 3865U dual-core processor at 1.80GHz with 16GB of DDR4 2400 memory. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 610 drives the 1366 x 768 HD display and external monitors.

Dual local storage for hybrid workloads

The 256GB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and application staging while the 1TB HDD adds bulk capacity for cached files or local logs. This mix suits organisations that keep most data in a data centre but still need responsive local storage. Buyers who need a single large SSD or who require discrete graphics performance should consider other form factors.

Celeron 3865U dual-core processor

The 1.80GHz dual-core CPU determines the ceiling for local processing before tasks shift to the host infrastructure. It handles the thin-client OS, peripheral I/O and display output without active cooling noise. Workloads that demand sustained multi-threaded compute on the device itself will exceed this processor's capacity.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the laptop, power adapter and a 720p webcam, or must I buy any of those separately?

The unit ships with the MT21 notebook, its power adapter and a built-in 720p webcam; no additional purchase is required for those items.

Should I choose the 256GB NVMe SSD plus 1TB HDD configuration or a smaller drive option?

This specific model already combines a 256GB NVMe SSD for fast boot with a 1TB HDD for bulk storage, so no smaller drive variant is offered.

How does the Intel Celeron 3865U at 1.80GHz with 16GB DDR4 2400 perform in a real Windows 10 Pro thin-client workload?

The dual-core 1.80GHz processor and 16GB DDR4 2400 memory handle typical virtual-desktop sessions, browser-based apps and office tasks smoothly within the Windows 10 Pro environment.
