High-performance fan kit cools ProLiant DL380 and DL560 Gen11 2U servers
This HPE fan kit is designed for ProLiant DL380 and DL560 Gen11 servers in a 2U form factor. It provides upgraded airflow for configurations that demand higher cooling capacity. System builders and IT teams select it when standard fans cannot meet thermal requirements.
The package supplies the complete high-performance fan assembly required for the supported models. Swapping the standard units with this kit raises the airflow ceiling without changing the server chassis. Installation uses the existing fan bays and connectors, so no extra cabling or mounting hardware is needed.
Constructed to HPE ProLiant specifications, the fans slot directly into the DL380 and DL560 Gen11 2U enclosures. The connectors align with the system board headers, allowing hot-plug replacement during maintenance. This design keeps service windows short and avoids chassis modifications.

HPE recommends checking fan health through iLO during routine maintenance windows; the fans are rated for continuous operation and typically require replacement only if a fault alert appears.
The fan controller ramps speed based on inlet temperature and component sensors; maximum RPM engages when any monitored zone exceeds its configured thermal threshold.
Power consumption scales with RPM and is reported in iLO; acoustic output rises with fan speed but stays within the Gen11 2U chassis design limits for data-centre deployment.
