Hubbell Incorporated

Hubbell Incorporated 074011049 Strain Relief Cord Grip 45 Liquid Tight

SKU CH-T9A9-KWJQ9

A 45-degree liquid-tight cord connector with stainless-steel mesh strain relief accepts cable diameters from .50 to .63 in and fits a 3/4 in MNPT box entry

  • Liquid-tight seal protects wiring in wet locations
  • 45-degree angle eases routing in tight spaces
  • Mesh strain relief grips cable from .50 to .63 in diameter
  • Aluminium body with stainless-steel relief resists corrosion
  • UL and CSA listed for code-compliant installations

Purpose and fit

This 45-degree liquid-tight cord grip connects a single cable to a 3/4 inch MNPT box entry. It suits installers who need a secure, angled transition for flexible cord in damp or wet locations.

Build integration

The aluminum body and stainless-steel mesh strain relief accept cord diameters from .50 to .63 inch, sealing the enclosure without a separate gasket. The 45-degree angle routes cable parallel to the mounting surface, reducing bend stress in tight panels.

Included hardware

Supplied components meet CSA and UL standards for the listed cord range. No insulated throat or additional bushings are provided, so the installer must verify compatibility with the specific cable jacket and enclosure threading.

Questions about this item

Does the 45-degree angle restrict the cable bend radius during continuous flexing?

The connector body is aluminium with a stainless-steel mesh grip that distributes pull force along the cable jacket, reducing sharp bends at the 45-degree exit.

How hot does the aluminium body get when the cord carries full load all day?

Aluminium conducts heat away from the cable jacket, and the open mesh strain relief allows air flow around the cord, keeping the assembly near ambient temperature.

What thread size must the enclosure have for the 3/4 MNPT box connection?

The fitting screws into a standard 3/4-inch MNPT threaded hub or knockout on the enclosure.
