A full-metal mobile rack that hot-swaps one 2.5" SATA or SAS drive into a slim optical or floppy bay
Model ToughArmors Slim ODD
Model ToughArmor Slim ODD MinSATA
The ICY DOCK MB411SPO-B installs a single 2.5 inch SATA or SAS drive into a slim ODD or FDD bay. A removable EZ Slide Micro tray enables hot-swap drive changes without tools. Full metal construction protects the drive in harsh environments. The unit supports drive heights from 7mm to 9.5mm.
This rack fits industrial PCs, rackmount servers and OEM builds where only a slim optical bay is available. It is not for builders who need to install multiple drives in one bay. It is not for systems that lack a SATA host connection for the drive.
The tray connects to the drive through a single 22-pin SATA connector that carries both data and power. The host side uses a standard 7-pin SATA cable. SAS drives require a SAS-capable host controller to function.

Other versions of this model
The 22-pin connector handles SATA I, II and III, so the practical ceiling is 6 Gbps.
It mounts only in a slim ODD or slim FDD bay; the frame is built for that narrower opening.
Slide the drive into the EZ Slide Micro tray, secure it with the supplied screws, then insert the tray until it clicks; forcing it before the screws are tight is the common mistake.
