This aluminium-and-plastic tray converts a single 2.5" SATA or SAS drive to fit a standard 3.5" bay in compatible ICY DOCK mobile racks. It accepts drive heights of 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm and 15mm. The tray is designed for the MB991IK and MB994SP series backplanes. It provides a direct mechanical interface without additional cabling.

Passive cooling with no added power draw

The open alloy frame lets system airflow cool the installed drive naturally. No fan or active components are present, so the tray adds zero noise and zero electrical load. Data bandwidth reaches up to 6Gb/Sec through the native SATA or SAS connection. Thermal performance depends entirely on the host chassis airflow.
