A 7-inch die-cast zinc wire stripper with cushion grip handles that strips 22 to 10 AWG solid and stranded copper in one step
The Ideal 45-092 wire stripper is a compact hand tool built for electricians and technicians who need reliable copper cable preparation. Its 7-inch length and die-cast zinc body make it suited to daily professional use in panels, junction boxes and on-site work. The one-step stripping action simplifies repetitive tasks without requiring an adjustment mechanism.
The tool body is crafted from die-cast zinc for resistance to wear and corrosion in demanding environments. A standard cushion grip handle provides comfort and control during extended stripping sessions. A standard tool tether point allows the stripper to be secured to a fixed point with an accessory, reducing drop risk on ladders or elevated platforms.
This model handles solid and stranded copper conductors from 22 to 10 AWG only, so it cannot process larger gauge cables or aluminium conductors. The lack of an adjustment mechanism means the stripping range is fixed and cannot be calibrated for non-standard insulation thicknesses. The tool is not insulated, so it must not be used on live circuits.
