Dual-monitor KVM for four systems

The IHDAPP KVM842 lets one keyboard, one mouse and two HDMI monitors control four computers or laptops. It handles video up to 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz and shares four USB 3.0 peripherals across every connected machine. No drivers are needed and it works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS. A metal shell and LED indicators complete the package.

Front-panel buttons and wired remote

Switching is done with push buttons on the unit or the included wired remote, so you can place the switch out of sight. Each computer requires two HDMI cables plus one USB 3.0 cable, all supplied in the box. The switch draws power from the connected systems and includes a power adapter for stability. Four USB 3.0 ports on the front accept mice, keyboards, drives, printers, scanners or webcams.

Replaces a clutter of cables and separate hubs

Instead of swapping cables or running multiple monitor arms, this single box consolidates four workstations into one dual-screen desk. The jump is worth it when you regularly move between four PCs and need both high-refresh 4K and 8K 60 Hz video without adding a second KVM or a separate USB hub. It is not for setups that only have one HDMI output per computer or that rely on keyboard hot-key switching.

Questions about this item

What video bandwidth does the HDMI 2.1 interface on the KVM842 actually deliver?

The KVM842 supports up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz across both monitor outputs.

What physical ports and space does the KVM842 need on each computer?

Each of the four computers must provide two HDMI ports and one USB 3.0 port, and the switch itself measures 20 x 15 x 8 cm.

How do I connect the KVM842 correctly, and what step do users often miss?

Connect both HDMI cables and the USB cable for each PC to the matching numbered group (HD 1A, HD 1B, USB 1 for PC1, etc.); omitting the USB cable on any port is the common mistake.
