Mini Guardrail Near Field Antenna

The Impinj IPJ-A0303-000 is a compact RFID antenna designed for short-range tag reading. It suits integrators building access-control points, retail checkout pads or industrial workstations that need reliable detection within a few centimetres.

Cable-Free Worldwide Design

The unit ships without a cable, so the installer must supply a suitable coaxial lead and connector for the reader port. Its broadband construction lets the same hardware operate in every regulatory region, simplifying stock-keeping for global deployments.

0-7.5 cm Read Range

Strong near-field performance covers tags from contact up to 7.5 cm away while weak far-field gain suppresses stray reads beyond that zone. This fixed distance decides whether the antenna fits the application; longer-range portals need a different model.

Questions about this item

Will the antenna housing or connector need periodic replacement?

The antenna is a passive unit with no moving parts or user-serviceable components, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement is required.

What limits continuous read performance when the antenna runs all day?

The design provides strong near-field reads from 0 to 7.5 cm while weak far-field gain prevents stray reads, so read-zone boundary is the practical limit.

Does the antenna generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

As a passive near-field antenna it produces no noise and negligible heat; thermal load is determined by the connected reader, not the antenna itself.
