Compact fanless desktop with Core i7-8550U

This Inctel mini PC ships new with an Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed on the 234 mm by 150 mm aluminium chassis. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives HDMI and VGA outputs for dual-display setups. The fanless design suits noise-sensitive or dusty industrial environments.

Industrial users needing serial ports

Two RS-232 COM ports, gigabit LAN, dual-band Wi-Fi with external antennas and seven USB ports support legacy automation gear and modern peripherals. Buyers who require discrete graphics, internal 2.5-inch drive bays or a different CPU generation should consider other form factors. The sealed enclosure also rules out user-replaceable cooling or expansion cards.

Simple VESA or wall mounting with external power

Mounting ears are integrated into the case for quick attachment to a VESA bracket or flat surface. A 12 V 5 A DC adapter powers the unit from 100-240 V AC mains. Installation typically means securing the box, connecting the antennae and plugging in cables. The only common issue is ensuring adequate airflow around the aluminium housing so the passive cooling remains effective.

Questions about this item

What display connectors does the Inctel I3-i7 8550U-16G512G provide for a monitor?

This mini PC includes one HDMI port and one VGA port, both driven by the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620.

Will the two RS232 COM ports work with legacy serial equipment I still use?

Yes, the unit has two native RS232 COM ports on the rear I/O panel for direct connection to older serial devices.

How can I confirm the system is running silently after installation?

The cooling is completely fanless; if you hear no moving parts and the aluminium chassis becomes warm during load, the thermal design is working as intended.
