Purpose-built adapter
The Innocard PCIe Gen4 to OCulink 4i gender changer converts an OCuLink SFF-8612 connection to a PCIe x4 Gen 4 add-in card slot. It targets system integrators and server builders who need to extend PCIe 4.0 signals over longer cables inside rack, tower or microserver chassis.
Signal integrity over distance
A PI3EQX16904GL ReDriver and dedicated clock, PERST#, WAKE#, CLKREQ# and PWRBRK# buffers regenerate 16 GT/s differential pairs and 100 MHz reference clocks across extended trace lengths. The green D3 LED confirms the host bus adapter link is active and trained.
Server chassis integration
The half-height bracket mounts in a standard expansion slot and presents an SFF-8612 receptacle for high-density storage or accelerator cabling. It requires a PCIe 4.0-capable host slot and an OCuLink 1.0a cable assembly; no additional drivers are needed beyond Windows 7 through 10 or UEFI 2.3.1 firmware.

Questions about this item
What does the 16 GT/s figure mean once this card is installed in a real machine?
It indicates the PCIe 4.0 lane speed the re-driver can sustain, so the host sees full Gen 4 bandwidth across the OCulink cable.
Which standard governs the OCulink 4i connector on this adapter?
The SFF-8612 connector follows the SFF-9402 Rev 1.1 pin-out and is compliant with SFF-8612 Specification Version 3.5.
What physical slot and clearance does this adapter need to fit?
It plugs into a standard PCIe x4 or larger slot and occupies a single low-profile bracket.
