This 2-post centre-mount kit converts compatible IBM x-series servers for relay-rack installation. It supports the x300, x305, x325, x330, x335 and x345 models. One kit provides the hardware to mount two servers side by side. It is intended for data-centre technicians who need to fit these units into standard two-post relay racks.

Sustained mechanical stability under load

The kit uses sixteen 12-24 bolts, twelve M6x10 mm screws and ten M6 cage nuts to secure each server bracket to the rack rails. This fastening pattern distributes the server weight evenly across both posts. The hardware remains tight during continuous vibration from fans and drives, preventing gradual loosening that can occur with lighter clip-on brackets.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The brackets are passive metal components that add no active cooling, fans or power consumption. They do not alter the server’s internal airflow path or increase acoustic output.
