This Intellinet Cat5e UTP cable measures 0.5 ft and terminates in gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. The red PVC jacket is snagless and includes strain-relief boots for tight rack or patch-panel work. It is tested to meet or exceed current Cat5e proposed standards and carries a lifetime warranty.

Capacity and headroom

The link supports Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet over its 0.15 m length with impedance-matched conductors and gold contacts. Shielding is absent, so the cable is not suited for electrically noisy runs or PoE loads that demand screened pairs. Bandwidth beyond 1 Gbit/s is outside the Cat5e rating.

Upgrade path
