10-Pack Cat8.1 Slim Patch Cables

This ten-pack of green Cat8.1 U/FTP slim Ethernet cables is built for installers and data-centre technicians who need high-density 40 Gbps links in tight cabinets. Each 5 ft stranded patch cord uses 30 AWG pure copper conductors and gold-plated RJ45 contacts to deliver 2 GHz bandwidth in a reduced diameter.

Shielded design for dense racks

Aluminum foil around every twisted pair suppresses alien crosstalk so the cables run cool and quiet even when bundled in Top-of-Rack or Middle-of-Row trays. The ultra-thin jacket improves airflow around active equipment and makes routing around corners easier without kinking the stranded conductors.

Snag-free boots protect the latch

Moulded snag-free boots let you pull the cables through crowded cable managers without catching or breaking the RJ45 tabs, keeping every connection reliable during moves, adds and changes.

Questions about this item

How do I insert the RJ45 plugs into a dense patch panel without snagging the release tabs?

The snag-free boots cover the release tabs so each plug slides in and out of crowded ports without catching on adjacent cables.

Will the gold-plated contacts need cleaning or re-plating over time?

The 50 micro-inch gold plating resists corrosion so the contacts stay conductive for the life of the cable; no maintenance is required.

At what length does the 40 Gbps rating stop being guaranteed?

The 40 Gbps / 2 GHz rating is certified for the full 5 ft length of each cable in this pack.
