SKU CH-1DFE-CKS53

Three right-angle SATA III cables connect drives to motherboards at up to 6 Gbps

  • Right-angle connectors simplify tight-case routing
  • SATA 6 Gbps transfer speed for fast data moves
  • 18-inch length reaches drives across the chassis
  • Three cables in one pack for multi-drive builds
  • Red colour helps identify cables during maintenance

90° SATA III cable 3-pack

This 3-pack of SATA III cables connects motherboards and host controllers to internal hard drives and optical drives. Each cable is 18 inch long with a 90 degree right-angle connector for tight routing. The red colour helps identify cables inside the case. They carry data only and do not supply power to the drive.

6 Gbps SATA 3.0 interface

The cables support SATA revision 3.0 with a maximum transfer rate of 6 Gbps. They are backwards compatible with SATA I and SATA II devices. Actual throughput is limited by the rating of the attached equipment. The 7-pin female-to-female design fits standard SATA ports on drives and motherboards.

Simple push-fit installation

Push each connector straight onto the SATA port until it clicks; no tools are required. The 90 degree angle reduces strain on the port and keeps the cable close to the board. Ensure the drive receives power from a separate SATA power connector, as these cables transmit data only.

Questions about this item

What does the 6 Gbps rating mean once the cable is installed in a real machine?

The cable supports the SATA 3.0 standard up to 6 Gbps, but actual throughput is limited by the drive and controller you connect; it will run at the speed of the slowest component in the chain.

Which SATA interface standard does this cable use and what does it cap in practice?

It uses the SATA 3.0 interface, capping the link at 6 Gbps while remaining backwards compatible with SATA I and SATA II devices.

What clearance does the 90-degree connector need to fit inside a case?

The right-angle plug extends about 14 mm from the drive port, so allow that much space behind the device for a clean fit.
