The iStarUSA BPN-DE110SS-BLACK converts a single 5.25" drive bay into a tray-less hot-swap slot for one 3.5" SATA or SAS hard drive. It accepts SAS I/II and SATA I/II/III drives with a data transfer rate up to 6.0 Gb/s. The aluminium frame and front bezel provide structural rigidity and act as a heat sink. A metal key lock secures the drive against unauthorised removal.

Tool-free drive insertion with key lock

Drives slide directly into the cage without trays or screws, making swaps fast during maintenance windows. The key lock engages automatically when the drive is fully seated, preventing accidental ejection. Blue and purple LEDs show power status and drive activity at a glance. A 40 mm fan mount is available for additional airflow if the chassis layout permits.

Aluminium body sustains thermal performance

The integrative aluminium construction draws heat away from the drive during continuous read and write workloads. Without the optional 40 mm fan, temperatures rise steadily under sustained load, so active cooling is advisable for high-duty cycles. The SATA power connector ensures broad compatibility with standard power supplies. Drives up to 12 TB are supported for long-term storage density.
