The iStarUSA BPN-DE230SS-RED fits two standard 5.25" bays and holds three 3.5" SAS or SATA hard drives. A tray-less mechanism lets you insert or remove drives without tools while the system runs. An aluminium frame and a 70 mm fan move air from front to back for steady cooling. A key lock on the red front bezel secures the drives.

Suited for RAID arrays in workstations

This cage supports RAID 0, 1, 1+0 and 5 for speed or redundancy in video editing, security recording or disk-to-disk backup. Builders who need more than three drives or who rely on 2.5" media should look at other enclosures. Systems without two adjacent 5.25" openings cannot accommodate the unit.

SAS and SATA 6.0 Gbps backplane
