Three 5.25" bays to four 3.5" SATA hot-swap cage

The iStarUSA BPU-340-SA-RED converts three standard 5.25-inch drive bays into a four-bay enclosure for 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. It is built for servers and workstations that need high-density storage with hot-swap capability. The all-aluminum body includes conductive dissipation grooves and an 80mm cooling fan for front-to-back airflow. RAID 0, 1 and 5 configurations are supported when paired with a suitable controller.

Check 5.25" bay count and RAID controller

Verify that the chassis provides three adjacent 5.25-inch front bays with enough depth for the unit. A hardware RAID controller or motherboard RAID support is required to enable the advertised RAID 0, 1 and 5 modes. The backplane uses a SATA 2.0 interface, so confirm the host connector type matches.
