High-density 3.5-inch drive cage

The iStarUSA BPU-340SATA-BLACK fits four 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives into three standard 5.25-inch front bays. It targets server and workstation builders who need hot-swap access and RAID support without sacrificing multiple expansion slots. An 80mm fan subsystem provides front-to-back airflow across the aluminium chassis.

6.0 Gb/s interface ceiling

Each bay connects through a backplane rated for 6.0 Gb/s SAS and SATA I, II and III drives. The cage itself does not perform RAID; a separate controller is required for RAID 0, 1, 1+0 or 5 arrays. Transfer speed will not exceed the 6.0 Gb/s link regardless of drive capability.

Aluminium trays with status LEDs

Drive carriers use aluminium handles and heat-sink bodies with conductive dissipation grooves. Front-panel LEDs show power, drive activity, fan operation and high-temperature warnings. The 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch trays lock securely for vibration resistance during hot-swap cycles.
