Three 5.25″ bays to four 3.5″ drives

The BPU-340SATA-BLUE converts three standard 5.25″ front bays into a four-bay hot-swap enclosure for 3.5″ or 2.5″ SAS and SATA hard drives. It is aimed at server and workstation builders who need dense, removable storage without a full drive chassis. The aluminium body and blue anodised handles fit professional rack or tower builds.

The cage uses an aluminium chassis with built-in dissipation grooves plus an integrated 80 mm cooling fan to move air front-to-back across all four drives. Power, drive-activity, fan-status and high-temperature LEDs give immediate visual feedback on each bay. Hot-swap trays allow drive changes without powering down the system.

Four drives at 6.0 Gb/s with RAID support

The backplane delivers up to 6.0 Gb/s per drive and supports RAID 0, 1, 1+0 and 5 when paired with a separate RAID controller. It comfortably handles multi-terabyte SAS or SATA disks for video editing, security recording or disk-to-disk backup. The three-bay footprint limits total capacity to four drives, so larger arrays need additional cages.
