Drive cage for 2.5" SATA drives

This refurbished iStarUSA BPX-35U3-SA-RF cage fits a standard 3.5" bay and holds one 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD. It provides hot-swap access through a front door that closes automatically when the tray is removed. The tray supports 7 mm and 9.5 mm drive heights and connects internally via SATA or externally via USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.

Check bay space and interface

Verify that your chassis has a free 3.5" front bay measuring at least 0.99" wide, 4.00" tall and 6.52" deep. Confirm the motherboard or controller has an available SATA port for internal use, or that a USB 3.0 or 2.0 header or port is reachable for external connection. Ensure the power supply can deliver a SATA power connector to the tray.

Aluminum tray with LED status

The main chassis uses aluminum alloy for rigidity and heat dissipation while the front bezel is plastic. A blue LED shows solid when powered and blinks during drive activity. The hot-swap tray slides in without tools and the spring-loaded door limits dust entry when the drive is ejected. SATA and USB cables route from the rear of the cage.
