4U Rackmount Chassis with Silver Front Bezel

The iStarUSA D-400SEA-SL-T7SA is a 4U server chassis built from 1.2mm SECC zinc-coated steel with an aluminum alloy front bezel in silver. It accepts ATX and microATX motherboards up to 12" x 9.6" and provides seven expansion slots. A key lock on the front bezel secures the drive bays and controls. Two front-access USB 2.0 ports simplify local maintenance.

Upgrade from Tower or 2U Systems for More Drive

This chassis replaces tower cases or 2U racks when you need four 5.25" bays, one external 3.5" bay and two internal 3.5" bays in a single 4U footprint. Standard cooling uses one 120mm and one 80mm fan; an optional 80mm fan can be added. The jump is worth it when hot-swap capability is required via the optional BPU-230 cage supporting SATA and SAS 6 Gbps drives.

Standard 19-Inch Rack Mount with Front Cable Access

The unit measures 19.00" x 7.00" x 20.80" and mounts in standard 19-inch racks using the included zinc-coated steel handles. Installation is straightforward: secure the chassis, connect the power and reset switches, then wire the power, HDD, temperature and fan LEDs — fan and temperature indicators need the optional TC-ISF08 sensor board. PS2 or mini-redundant power supplies fit the rear opening. Builders needing more than seven expansion slots or deeper motherboards should look elsewhere.
