Compact 6U Server Cabinet

The iStarUSA WG-690 is a 6U rack enclosure designed for offices, studios and small-to-medium businesses that need secure, desk-side mounting for standard 19-inch equipment. Its aluminium frame and cold-rolled steel panels support up to 2000 lbs of hardware while fitting chassis depths of 29 inches or less.

Vented Doors With Optional 120mm Fans

Vented front, rear and side panels promote airflow through the cabinet, and optional 120mm AC fans can be added for active circulation. The steel construction and lockable doors help contain noise from installed servers, making the unit suitable for quiet office or studio environments.

Aluminium Frame With Lockable Steel Panels

The frame uses aluminium while the base, rails, top, sides and doors are built from SPCC cold-rolled steel in thicknesses of 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm. Front, rear and side security locks prevent unauthorised access, and the 122 lb cabinet measures 23.60 by 21.00 by 35.40 inches for straightforward placement beside a desk.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 19-inch mounting rails and what step do people miss?

Mount the SPCC t2.0 rails to the aluminum frame using the supplied hardware, then level the cabinet on its casters before tightening — skipping the leveling step leaves doors misaligned.

What maintenance will the 120mm cooling fans need later?

Vacuum dust from the fan intakes and vented doors every few months; the fans are AC mains units, so replace any that develop bearing noise or stop spinning.

What limit appears first under sustained full load?

The 29-inch maximum chassis depth restricts equipment choices before the 2000 lb weight capacity or 6U height become constraints.
