Power Delivery and Limits

Rated output reaches 65W maximum with selectable rails of 19.5V 3.34A, 19V 3.42A or 20V 3.25A to match the laptop's needs. The unit replaces 45W and 65W Acer adapters but cannot support devices that draw more than 65W. Overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protections shut the supply down before damage occurs.

Questions about this item

Will this 65W adapter run my older Acer laptop that originally shipped with a 45W charger?

Yes — the adapter supports 19.5V 3.34A, 19V 3.42A and 20V 3.25A outputs, so it can replace the 45W unit and still deliver the correct voltage for your system.

How can I verify the adapter is delivering the rated 19.5V 3.34A after I plug it in?

Check the laptop’s battery or power-management utility; it should report an input of 19.5V at up to 3.34A when the adapter is connected and the system is under load.

What cables come in the box and is there anything else I need to buy?

The package includes a 6 ft 2-prong AC cord and a 6 ft DC cord; no extra cables or accessories are required for standard wall-outlet use.
