Compact DisplayPort to VGA adapter for legacy

The iXever adapter converts a DisplayPort or DisplayPort++ output on a laptop or desktop into a VGA signal for older monitors, projectors or HDTVs. It is a male-to-female cable with a gold-plated DisplayPort connector and moulded strain relief. The unit carries video only and does not transmit audio.

Limited to 1080p at 60 Hz

Video resolution tops out at 1920x1080 at 60 Hz or 1920x1200, so higher-resolution panels will downscale. The adapter is unidirectional and cannot send a VGA source to a DisplayPort input. Audio must be routed separately because the converter does not support sound.

Check for a DisplayPort

Your computer must provide a standard DisplayPort or DisplayPort++ socket; the adapter will not work from HDMI, DVI or USB-C without a separate active converter. The target screen needs a VGA input, and you should confirm the operating system can set the desired mirror or extend mode at the supported resolutions.
