This adapter links a DisplayPort 1.2 or 1.2a output on a desktop, laptop or ultrabook to a monitor, projector or HDTV with a DVI-I input. It supports video up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz and 1920x1200 resolution. The gold-plated connector resists corrosion and features a locking latch that prevents accidental disconnection.

One-way signal path only

The converter is strictly uni-directional and cannot transmit a signal from a DVI source to a DisplayPort display. Audio is not carried through the adapter, so a separate audio connection is required if sound is needed. The 60 Hz refresh ceiling at 1080p means higher refresh-rate DVI monitors will not operate at their maximum capability.

Verify port types and cable needs

Confirm the source device has a standard DisplayPort or DisplayPort++ output, not Mini DisplayPort or USB-C, as no adapter is included for those. Ensure the target display accepts a DVI-I signal; DVI-D only screens may not be compatible. A separate DVI cable is required to complete the link between the adapter and the display.
