Extracts HDMI audio to optical and RCA outputs while passing 4K 60 Hz HDR video with HDCP 2.2 and downmixes 5.1 to stereo
The JTECH-EXD-ARC extracts audio from an HDMI source and converts it to optical or RCA analogue outputs. It is built for users who need to connect a TV, console or streaming box to an external sound system that lacks HDMI inputs.
The unit accepts an ARC signal from a compatible television and passes the extracted audio to a soundbar or AV receiver via the optical port. A three-position EDID switch selects TV, 2CH or 5CH modes to maintain handshake stability with the source device.
Video travels through the extractor at 4K resolution and 60 Hz with HDR while HDCP 2.2 compliance is maintained. The device draws power from the included 5 V adapter and operates without audible fan noise in normal use.

The TV needs an HDMI ARC port and the sound system needs an optical SPDIF input or stereo RCA inputs.
Slide the EDID switch to 2CH before powering on, then cycle power on the source so it re-reads the stereo EDID.
