Connects DisplayPort computers to HDMI displays with 1080p video and 7.1 audio
This Jansicotek converter connects a DisplayPort-equipped desktop or laptop to an HDMI monitor or TV. It accepts a latching 20-pin DisplayPort male plug and presents a 19-pin HDMI female socket. A separate HDMI cable is required to complete the link. The adapter supports PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p.
The unit is a passive adapter, so it only works when the source device outputs a DisplayPort++ dual-mode signal. It cannot convert a pure DisplayPort signal from a graphics card that lacks dual-mode support. Maximum supported PC resolutions include 1920 x 1200, 1680 x 1050, 1600 x 1200 and 1440 x 900. HDTV modes cover 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i and 1080p.
Insert the DisplayPort end into the computer until the latch clicks, then attach an HDMI cable between the adapter and the display. No drivers or external power are needed. The most common issue is a blank screen caused by a source that does not support dual-mode output. The latching connector prevents accidental disconnection during use.
