Connects 2.5" or 3.5" SATA and IDE drives to USB 3.0 or Type-C with 12 V power for up to 6 TB
The Jansicotek E02 connects 2.5 and 3.5 inch SATA or IDE hard drives and optical drives to a USB 3.0 or Type-C port. It suits technicians, archivists and home users who need quick access to bare drives without an enclosure. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS, it requires no driver installation. The adapter handles drives up to 6 TB capacity.
The unit draws power from the included 12 V supply for 3.5 inch drives while 2.5 inch models run from the USB bus. No active cooling is present so operation stays silent. USB 3.0 delivers up to 5 Gb/s and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports. LED indicators show power and activity status at a glance.
A 12 V power adapter and necessary cables ship in the box so 3.5 inch drives work immediately. UASP support accelerates transfers on compatible hosts without extra software. The plug-and-play design eliminates driver setup across all supported operating systems. Compact construction lets the kit travel in a laptop bag for on-site recovery tasks.

Connect the SATA data cable to the drive, attach the 12V power adapter to the drive's power port, then plug the adapter into a USB 3.0 port. The step often missed is applying 12V power before the USB link for 3.5 inch drives.
The 12V power adapter is a consumable component; replace it if the barrel connector loosens, the cable frays, or the brick no longer delivers stable voltage to 3.5 inch drives.
The USB 3.0 interface caps sustained throughput at 5Gb/s, so large sequential copies on a 6TB drive will hit that bandwidth ceiling before the drive's own speed limit.
