All-in-one HDMI to RCA cable

This converter cable combines an HDMI plug, a 3RCA output and a built-in conversion chipset in a single 120 cm lead. It accepts HDMI 1.3 signals from 480i up to 1080p and outputs composite CVBS video at 480i or 576i with synchronised stereo audio. The plug-and-play design needs no external power supply or extra cables.

Check HDMI source and RCA display

Verify that your source device has a standard HDMI output and that the target display accepts composite video via yellow, red and white RCA jacks. The converter only translates from HDMI to RCA; it cannot pass a signal in the opposite direction. Ensure the source is set to a resolution the chipset can handle, up to 1080p, and that the display supports NTSC or PAL timing.

Low power draw and silent operation

The unit draws its operating power directly from the HDMI port, so there is no separate adapter to heat up or generate noise. With no active cooling components, it runs silently in normal use. The composite output is limited to standard-definition 480i and 576i, so the converter does not upscale or enhance the original picture quality.

Questions about this item

What comes in the package and do I need any extra cables?

The box includes the 120 cm HDMI-to-RCA converter cable, an HDMI female coupler and a user manual; no separate HDMI or RCA cables are required.

Which video standards does the converter output and what input resolutions does it accept?

It accepts HDMI input from 480i up to 1080p and outputs composite CVBS at standard-definition 480i or 576i in NTSC or PAL format.

Will the adapter pass 1080p HDMI through to my old TV at full HD quality?

No — the built-in chip down-converts the signal to 480i or 576i composite, so the picture remains standard definition even if the source is 1080p.
